AP - Accounting Stream Leader

About the companyFor our client – a global manufacturing organization operating in the pharmaceutical sector and further developing its Shared Services Center in Warsaw – we are looking for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the Accounts Payable stream. The role is embedded in an international environment, with accounting operations delivered by an external service provider (BPO) and close cooperation with global and local stakeholders.Scope of responsibilities:The role focuses on end-to-end ownership, governance and coordination of the AP process rather than day-to-day transactional executionAct as a process owner for the Accounts Payable stream across multiple legal entitiesOversee and coordinate AP activities delivered by external service providers (BPO)Ensure process quality, compliance and consistency in line with internal policies and accounting standardsMonitor KPIs, identify operational risks and drive corrective and preventive actionsAct as the main point of contact for AP-related topics for internal stakeholders and external partnersOversee month-end closing activities from an AP perspective, ensuring timely and accurate deliveryDrive standardization, harmonization and continuous improvement initiatives within APResolve escalations and complex issues at process level, ensuring root cause analysis and sustainable solutionsSupport audits, transitions and system or process changes impacting the AP streamCooperate closely with other finance streams to ensure end-to-end process alignmentRequirements:Strong experience in Accounts Payable / Procure to Pay processes, preferably within SSC/GBS structuresExperience in process ownership, governance or coordination roles (not only operational execution)Proven experience in working with BPO or outsourced finance processesVery good understanding of AP process flows, controls and KPIsPractical knowledge of SAPStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to work in a complex, international environmentFluent EnglishWe offer:Hybrid work model (2 days onsite per week) with more flexibility after onboardingStable employment in a growing international SSCPerformance-based bonus, holiday bonus and additional benefitsOpportunity to shape and develop AP processes at scaleStandard corporate benefits package#LI-DNI #1199237 - Andzelika Pikulinska
