Data Engineer

Hays is currently recruiting for a global organization in the digital transformation and cloud space. We are looking for experienced Data / AI Engineers (Senior / Lead level) to join a growing Data & AI team supporting large-scale, international projects built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), for a globally recognized, prestigious retail organization.This role offers the opportunity to work on data platform operations, pipeline development, and AI-related initiatives, helping clients turn data into meaningful business value.ResponsibilitiesWork as part of a Data & AI team, supporting data operations and platform initiativesDesign, build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and modelsMonitor, troubleshoot and improve data quality and observabilitySupport deployment, incident resolution and pipeline reliabilityContribute to delivering data-driven insights and solutions tailored to business needsMentor junior team members (for senior/lead roles)Note: The role includes on-call duty, including occasional evenings or weekends (extra paid)RequirementsExperience in data engineering with Python and SQLHands-on knowledge of GCP data servicesGood understanding of dbt and data modelling conceptsFamiliarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse designExperience with orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Dagster)Exposure to ingestion tools (e.g. Fivetran, Airbyte)Basic knowledge of Go (nice to have)Experience with Power BI or similar BI toolsExposure to Vertex AI / Dataiku is a plusKnowledge of Spark / Hadoop ecosystem is an advantageUnderstanding of Agile and ITIL practicesFluent EnglishWhat’s OfferedEmployment contract and remote/hybrid working modelPrivate medical care (incl. dental), sports package, cafeteria benefitsAccess to training, certifications (incl. cloud and AI) and UdemyClear career path with structured growth frameworkWork in international projects with modern tech stackSupportive, transparent and collaborative work environmentHays Poland sp. z o.o. jest agencją zatrudnienia zarejestrowaną w rejestrze prowadzonym przez Marszałka Województwa Mazowieckiego pod numerem 361.#LI-DNI #1200223 - Agnieszka Kowalewska
