Description

For our client we are looking for a candidate for the position of Demand Forecasting Expert.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Logistics, or a comparable qualification

• Knowledge or experience in forecasting, demand planning, capacity management, S&OP, or production planning

• Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs), product documentation systems, or order documentation systems

• Ideally, knowledge of MS Access and Python

• Very good English language skills

• Good German language skills are desirable

• Strong analytical mindset, high affinity for data and IT, and enthusiasm for working with complex interrelationships.

• Strong communication skills and a passion for collaborating in an international environment

Job Tasks

• You create feature-based demand forecasts by analyzing order backlogs, demand profiles, as well as market and demand developments, translating them into option-specific take-rate plans for the sales groups

• You analyze critical components with regard to demand requirements and supplier capacities and, together with Procurement and Material Management, initiate early measures to secure supply

• You maintain and continuously optimize forecasting master data and planning parameters

• You represent demand requirements for cross-brand materials and support the development of the necessary capacities

• You contribute to the continuous improvement of forecasting methods and processes
