Your new role As an Engineering Tech Lead, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for leading a small, highly skilled engineering squad while actively contributing to software development. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, remove technical blockers, and deliver scalable platform features built around distributed systems, AI capabilities, and cloud technologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, writing production-grade code, and influencing product direction from an early stage. Key responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers. Design and develop scalable backend services using Go. Drive technical and architectural decisions. Build and maintain distributed, event-driven systems. Ensure high engineering standards through code reviews and best practices. Collaborate closely with Product and Architecture teams. Support the delivery of high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. What you'll need to succeed 9+ years of commercial software engineering experience. Strong hands-on experience with Go (GoLang). Previous experience leading engineering teams or squads. Strong background in distributed and event-driven architectures. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. Experience working in cloud environments (GCP preferred). Experience leveraging AI tools within the software development lifecycle. A proactive, delivery-focused mindset and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
