Location: remote or hybrid (Kraków) Contract type: B2B, through Hays Poland Compensation: 180-220 PLN/h net (+ VAT) Experience: min. 10 years of experience Start: 01.10.2026 Cooperation: initial 6-month contract with possible extension Language: English B2 Project Context: We are looking for an experienced HVAC & Building Coordinator to support the technical coordination of industrial FEED and EPC projects. This role combines hands-on engineering design, multidisciplinary coordination, and pre-construction planning activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of HVAC and building systems throughout the project lifecycle, while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, budget constraints, and site installation requirements. Requirements: Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC design and building engineering coordination for industrial or commercial projects. Expert-level knowledge of HVAC, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Working knowledge of European building codes (Eurocodes, EN norms), fire/egress standards, and safety-by-design principles. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Architecture. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks (or equivalent 3D coordination tools), and thermal/hydraulic calculation software. Good knowledge of Revit. Hands-on experience with HVAC calculation tools such as InstalSoft, Audytor, HAP, Trace, or PipeFlo. Goals & Deliverables: Issue verified HVAC load, hydraulic, and air distribution calculation reports. Deliver ready-to-build (AFC) drawing packages, including plant room details, building layouts, and spatial allocation drawings. Utilize AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other 3D coordination tools for model reviews and multidisciplinary clash detection across HVAC and building scopes. Work with Revit and calculation software used for heat loss and hydraulic calculations (e.g. InstalSoft, Audytor, HAP, Trace, PipeFlo). Apply applicable norms and standards throughout the design process. Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for HVAC systems and building scope. Prepare technical ITB packages, evaluate vendor bids, and document design changes through formal change control workflows. HVAC Responsibilities: Evaluate building requirements to select and optimize heating, cooling, and ventilation configurations, including AHUs, chillers, and heat pumps. Perform thermal load modelling, air distribution design, and hydraulic system sizing according to European standards (EN norms). Prepare technical specifications and perform technical evaluations of vendor bids for HVAC equipment. Design plant room layouts and coordinate ductwork and piping routing. Conduct technical reviews and audits of HVAC systems to identify design bottlenecks, compliance gaps, and operational inefficiencies. Building Expert Responsibilities: Define building levels, zoning, and space allocation; ensure architectural, civil, and structural consistency across drawings, 3D models, and BOQs. Act as technical coordinator between structural, electrical, piping, process, and HSE teams to resolve spatial clashes and maintain access routes. Coordinate building penetrations, foundation loadings, embedded items, overhead crane clearances, and building envelope requirements with structural engineers. Review architectural and building subcontractor deliverables, equipment data, and ensure compliance with project specifications. Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, local fire and egress regulations, and safety-by-design standards. What We Offer: A quick project matching process.
