You will own the full lifecycle of application services — from governance and roadmap ownership to SLA management and continuous improvement — ensuring our IS capabilities stay aligned with evolving business needs. As the central point of accountability for service delivery, you will bridge business stakeholders, internal IS teams, and external suppliers, orchestrating a complex and high-impact service ecosystem. This is a global leadership role that demands strategic thinking, hands-on operational discipline, and the ability to inspire and develop diverse, geographically dispersed teams.The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-hybridThis is a global role; the preferred locations are Poland, Czech Republic, Italy or India. Your responsibilities:Own and govern the application portfolio by maintaining transparency, driving prioritization decisions with senior stakeholders, and ensuring the applications roadmap reflects current business strategy and maximizes adoptionLead service delivery excellence by managing day-to-day operations across internal IS teams, GBS IS units, and external suppliers, ensuring service requests and incidents are fulfilled within agreed SLAs and OLAsDrive alignment between business and IT by collaborating with business stakeholders to identify requirements, validate expected outcomes, and ensure application services consistently meet customer needsManage financial accountability including budget ownership, cost charge-out to respective business units, and ongoing assessment of efficiency improvements based on technological, financial, and functional feasibilityEnsure data quality and information consistency by working iteratively with the business to validate system-generated reports, assess data integrity, and support compliance with Information Produced by Entity (IPE) requirementsLead incident, problem, and change management by overseeing root cause analysis, defining workarounds, and coordinating resolution across teams to restore services within agreed SLA timelinesMaintain a robust IS governance framework by steering reference teams and steering committees, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring adherence to corporate IS policies, security standards, and external legislationContribute to IS strategy by collaborating with the Head of Business IS and IS leaders to shape the overall application roadmap in alignment with ABB's global IS strategy and business objectivesDevelop and lead people by building competence within the team, promoting a high-performance culture, and guiding geographically dispersed teams toward shared goalsQualifications for the role:Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Engineering, or a related field5+ years of IT experience in developing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining applications, with at least 3+ years in a global management or leadership roleProven track record as an application services leader in a complex, global organization with both internal and external stakeholder interfacesStrong experience managing SLAs, OLAs, and vendor relationships in a multi-supplier environmentDemonstrated ability to implement processes, tools, and governance frameworks at scaleITIL knowledge is a plus; experience with end-to-end functional process understanding is highly valuedExceptional negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skillsFluent in English with strong communication abilities across all organizational levelsWhat’s in it for you:We empower you to take the lead, share bold ideas, and shape real outcomes. Your responsibilities

Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of IT experience in developing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining applications, with at least 3+ years in a global management or leadership role
Proven track record as an application services leader in a complex, global organization with both internal and external stakeholder interfaces
Strong experience managing SLAs, OLAs, and vendor relationships in a multi-supplier environment
Demonstrated ability to implement processes, tools, and governance frameworks at scale
ITIL knowledge is a plus; experience with end-to-end functional process understanding is highly valued
Exceptional negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills
Fluent in English with strong communication abilities across all organizational levels
