Senior Java Developer

Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team and support our chapters and pods in taking our platform to the cloud. We are a team of dedicated professionals, aiming to build out our next-generation platform to solve complex enterprise-wide problems, with the cloud data store serving as a key enabler in our cloud journey. You will contribute to a large, global post-trading system that will be transformed into microservices hosted in the cloud. Responsibilities Develop and maintain a large-scale, global post-trading system with direct business impact Design and implement scalable solutions using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot Build and optimize data persistence layers leveraging Hibernate and a large Oracle Database Contribute to the transformation of the existing system into cloud-hosted microservices Integrate messaging and event-driven components using Kafka Collaborate with chapters and pods to deliver next-generation platform capabilities Ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of a business-critical application Participate in architectural discussions to shape the new infrastructure within the domain Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team Requirements 7+ years of relevant software development experience Substantial knowledge of Java (versions 8–21) and Spring Boot Expertise in Hibernate and SQL Background in working with large Oracle databases Familiarity with Kafka for event-driven architectures Working knowledge of AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud transformation initiatives English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher Nice to have Skills in BDD frameworks Proficiency in Git

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant software development experience

• Substantial knowledge of Java (versions 8–21) and Spring Boot

• Expertise in Hibernate and SQL

• Background in working with large Oracle databases

• Familiarity with Kafka for event-driven architectures

• Working knowledge of AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)

• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud transformation initiatives

• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
