Requirements
Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in an international organization, SSC, BPO, or shared services environment.
Fluency in English (min. C1)
Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and country-specific payroll legislation.
Solid knowledge of payroll calculations, taxation, statutory deductions, social security contributions, and year-end payroll activities.
Experience with payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and payroll reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and case management tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex payroll topics clearly and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience in coaching, supporting, or mentoring junior team members.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information.
Customer-focused mindset with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee complex payroll activities for assigned countries or regional payroll clusters.
Serve as the subject matter expert on payroll regulations, statutory deductions, taxation, recurring payroll events, off-cycle payments, corrections, and year-end processes.
Conduct detailed payroll validations, including data reviews, simulation testing, variance analysis, discrepancy investigations, and final payroll approvals.
Handle and resolve escalated payroll-related queries from employees and managers, ensuring a high level of service and timely resolution.
Prepare and review payroll outputs and documentation, including payroll reports, bank files, general ledger files, payslips, audit support documentation, and statutory reporting data.
Collaborate with payroll vendors, HR teams, and HRIS specialists to resolve system issues, investigate data discrepancies, and implement process improvements.
Ensure compliance with internal payroll policies, local labor regulations, tax requirements, and data privacy standards.
Proactively identify payroll risks, process gaps, and compliance issues, escalating concerns where appropriate.
Support, coach, and mentor Payroll Specialists by sharing knowledge, maintaining process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and contributing to onboarding and cross-training activities.
Participate in payroll transformation, automation, and continuous improvement projects.
