Senior Python MCP Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Senior Python MCP Engineer to join our team building an Enterprise Agent Development Platform — a production-grade, cloud-native ecosystem that enables engineering teams to define, orchestrate, deploy, and observe AI agents at scale. The platform standardizes agent development across the organization using LangGraph and Strands Agents on AWS AgentCore Runtime, providing a single-file developer experience where the platform handles runtime, tooling, observability, and deployment automatically. The initiative spans agent framework design, runtime architecture, marketplace integration, CI/CD automation, and enterprise-grade observability — reducing agent development from months to days while enforcing consistent security, quality, and governance standards. Responsibilities Implement MCP server templates to standardize enterprise agent development Onboard the first enterprise MCP servers onto the platform Design and build server-side MCP protocol implementations Develop Python-based services using FastMCP, asyncio, and Pydantic Deploy and manage integrations through AWS Lambda and API Gateway Establish observability pipelines using OpenTelemetry for traces, metrics, and logs Apply container security baseline standards across MCP server deployments Collaborate with platform teams on runtime architecture and CI/CD automation Requirements 5+ years of experience in Python development Proven Agent Development experience (ideally Multi-Agent Systems) AWS experience, ideally with Agent Core or Bedrock Experience in API and integration engineering Proficiency in async Python frameworks such as FastAPI and aiohttp Expertise in Python libraries including FastMCP, asyncio, and Pydantic Knowledge of AWS Lambda and API Gateway Understanding of MCP protocol server-side implementation Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for traces, metrics, and logs Knowledge of container security baseline practices Nice to have Hands-on experience with the FastMCP library Familiarity with LangGraph tool integration Exposure to AWS Bedrock or AgentCore

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Python development

• Proven Agent Development experience (ideally Multi-Agent Systems)

• AWS experience, ideally with Agent Core or Bedrock

• Experience in API and integration engineering

• Proficiency in async Python frameworks such as FastAPI and aiohttp

• Expertise in Python libraries including FastMCP, asyncio, and Pydantic

• Knowledge of AWS Lambda and API Gateway

• Understanding of MCP protocol server-side implementation

• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for traces, metrics, and logs

• Knowledge of container security baseline practices
