fluent English, good communication skills to be able to distill complex valuation topics into clear recommendations, committee-ready materials, and decision logs suitable for audit and governance scrutiny;
experience spanning multiple fund structures (e.g., mutual funds/UCITS, hedge funds, FoF, or private markets) will be considered as an asset.
Your role
We’re looking for a Senior Valuation Analyst to lead and continuously strengthen the valuation oversight function across traditional funds and selected alternative strategies.
You will own critical elements of the valuation control environment, ensuring consistent application of valuation policy, robust governance, defensible methodologies, and timely escalation of material risks.
This is a senior role requiring sound judgment, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to drive improvements across process, data, and controls.
Main scope of responsibilities:
own and evolve valuation governance and frameworks:
take accountability for the design, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of pricing/valuation frameworks, methodologies, controls, and documentation standards across asset classes and regions;
lead Valuation Committee engagement and outcomes:
set direction for committee materials and analysis, ensure high-quality evidence and “challenge-ready” documentation, drive decisions to closure, and oversee execution of committee determinations;
provide senior oversight of pricing exceptions and valuation risk:
govern tolerance break investigations, stale/unchanged pricing monitoring, liquidity assessments, and back-testing programs; define thresholds, materiality, escalation paths, and remediation plans;
exercise decision-making authority on complex cases: review and approve (or challenge) price override proposals and complex valuation judgments, balancing policy adherence with pragmatic risk management; escalate material matters with clear recommendations;
own vendor strategy and due diligence: lead evaluation, selection, and performance management of pricing vendors and third-party administrators; drive annual due diligence, model/governance reviews, and service improvements; negotiate and document requirements and controls;
set standards for corporate action valuation treatment:
provide authoritative guidance and oversight for valuation implications of corporate actions and lifecycle events; ensure consistent instructions to Fund Administrators / Custodians and robust audit trails;
drive strategic change and operational excellence: identify control gaps, implement automation and reporting enhancements, standardize workflows, and define KPIs/MI to improve quality, timeliness, and transparency across the valuation process;
lead and develop talent:
provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and technical review for analysts/associates; allocate work effectively, raise the bar on analytical rigor and documentation quality, and contribute to hiring, onboarding, and succession planning;
manage senior stakeholder relationships:
partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Fund Accounting/Fund Administrators, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and senior operations leadership; communicate issues succinctly, influence outcomes, and represent valuation with credibility and clarity.
