Requirements

  • Goal: Design and build a functional tool (e.g., an automated dashboard, internal tracker, or a physical device) to solve a specific company bottleneck.

  • Experience: Students operate as a “Junior Dev Team,” using professional Agile workflows, Git standards, and peer code reviews.

  • Scope: Covers the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)—from gathering requirements to final deployment and testing.

  • Learning: Bridges the gap between academic theory and industry practice by enforcing high-accountability coding and security standards.

  • Impact: Delivers a production-ready solution for the company while providing students with high-value, portfolio-ready experience.

Job responsibilities

  • Feature Development: Design, write, and debug clean code for assigned software modules according to project specifications.

  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular testing and peer code reviews to identify bugs and ensure the software meets functional requirements.

  • Version Control & Security: Use Git (or similar tools) to manage code updates, ensuring all work is committed regularly and follows company security protocols.

  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups or team meetings to report progress, manage tasks, and clear project “blockers.”

  • Technical Documentation: Maintain clear inline comments and create “ReadMe” files or user guides to ensure the project can be easily understood by others.
