Description

The project “Center for Hybrid Quantum-Classical Information Technologies – QLAB”, no. FENG.02.01-IP.05-B013/25, is co-financed by the European Union under Priority 2 of the European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021–2027 Programme, within Measure 2.1 International Research Agendas. The project is implemented by the University of Warsaw, and the Foundation for Polish Science acts as the Intermediate Body for Measure 2.1 FENG. CALL FOR STUDENT – QLAB / Group 2 The Director of the MAB QLAB Centre, announces a recruitment process for a Student in Group 2 – Quantum Infrastructure and Photonic Information Processing of MAB QLAB, financed under International Research Agendas (MAB), Measure 2.1 of the European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021-2027 Programme (FENG), project FENG.02.01-IP.05-B013/25, Center for Hybrid Quantum-Classical Information Technologies – QLAB. The successful candidate will be offered an employment contract (umowa o pracę) at the University of Warsaw for a technical positon. A current status as a student of bachelor's or master's studies on the date of commencement of employment in the project is required. Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure and Photonic Information Processing) at the MAB

  • Carrying out project tasks for the MAB QLAB Research Agenda

  • (Work Package WP4 – Quantum Communication Infrastructure and

  • Participation in the preparation of publications, conference presentations and the sharing of datasets and code in accordance with the open science policy.

  • Actively participating in QLAB seminars, project meetings, and joint activities with partners.

  • Submitting reports to the Group Leader and the Beneficiary in accordance with FNP/FENG guidelines.

  • Adhering to the Code of Ethics for FNP Laureates and Beneficiaries.

  • Conditions for entering the recruitment

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in physics, computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field as of the start date of employment on the project.

  • Excellent academic performance (as evidenced by the diploma supplement; the topic of the master’s thesis must be related to

  • QLAB Group 2).

  • Fluency in spoken and written English (B2 level or higher).

  • Experience in at least one of the following fields: experimental or theoretical quantum optics, experimental optics, experimental or theoretical quantum information, optical telecommunications, or photonic integrated circuits.

  • Programming skills are welcome (Python / MATLAB / Mathematica or equivalent).

  • During the term of employment, the candidate may not be employed under a full-time employment contract with another employer.
