The opportunity The Software Configuration Coordinator is accountable for planning, coordinating, and governing software changes and releases across the enterprise landscape. This role ensures changes are promoted in a controlled, compliant, and risk-aware manner by partnering with development, Basis, enhancement, testing, and release teams. This position is highly process-driven and requires experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, Enhanced Retrofits, Focused Build, Solution Documentation) and SAP Transport Management System (STMS). The role is critical to maintaining system stability and enabling timely, high-quality releases.

Your key responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and govern software releases and transport movements across the SAP landscape
Manage and oversee end-to-end Change Request Management (ChaRM) activities
Review, analyze, and remediate transport conflicts and retrofit issues prior to production promotions
Ensure adherence to release, change, and transport management processes
Coordinate with global, cross‑functional teams (Basis, Development, Testing, Business) to align on release readiness
Monitor dependencies and interrelationships among SAP modules to mitigate risk
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date solution and release documentation
Support governance forums by providing release status, risk assessments, and impact analysis
Enforce process compliance while enabling timely delivery of business changes
To qualify for the role, you must have
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Hands‑on experience with:
SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, Enhanced Retrofits, Focused Build, Solution Documentation)
SAP Transport Management System (STMS)
Experience with IT Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
Knowledge of ITIL Service, Change, and Release Management practices
Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional, multi‑location teams
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
Able to manage multiple parallel releases and priorities with clear communication and effective organization
Proficiency in English business language required

Standard working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, with flexibility required to work outside these hours based on business needs.
