Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar position

  • Practical experience in accounting and a good understanding of tax-related matters

  • Strong computer literacy and advanced Excel skills

  • Knowledge of financial and accounting systems; experience with SAP and AX will be an advantage

  • Good command of English, as it will be used on a daily basis

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Team-oriented approach and openness to collaboration and change

  • Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities

  • Processing and posting SAD (Single Administrative Document) and other import-related documents accurately and on time in the accounting system

  • Verifying customs documentation against supplier invoices, purchase orders and data recorded in the accounting system, including amounts, currencies, exchange rates, dates and customs-related information

  • Reviewing and posting customs decisions and corrections, including adjustments related to customs duty and VAT

  • Identifying and investigating quantity and price discrepancies related to imported goods and ensuring they are handled in line with established procedures

  • Processing and posting credit and debit notes related to shortages, overages, price differences and supplier claims

  • Performing accounting checks and reconciliations related to customs duty, import VAT, supplier liabilities and other import-related accounts

  • Monitoring documents requiring additional clarification or correction and following up on outstanding discrepancies

  • Maintaining relevant registers, tracking files and supporting documentation and ensuring appropriate archiving of processed documents

  • Ensuring that import-related transactions are processed in accordance with internal accounting policies, controls and local requirements

  • Cooperating with customs agencies and internal teams to resolve import-related accounting issues

  • Supporting month-end activities, reconciliations and audit requirements related to import accounting

  • Contributing to process improvement, standardization and knowledge sharing within the P2P team
