Description

We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Administrator to lead the end-to-end migration of Jira environments from Server to Cloud, ensuring seamless transitions, data integrity, and optimized configurations. This role requires a hands-on technical expert who can manage complex migrations while coordinating effectively with business stakeholders throughout the process. Responsibilities Plan and execute end-to-end migrations from Jira Server to Jira Cloud Analyze existing Jira configurations, including projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, screens, and automations Identify migration risks, dependencies, and data limitations Use Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) and/or third-party migration tools Migrate Jira Software, Service Management, and Jira Work Management projects, along with issues, attachments, comments, custom fields, users, groups, and permissions Perform data validation and reconciliation post-migration Troubleshoot migration errors and resolve data inconsistencies Optimize configurations for Jira Cloud best practices post-migration Configure Jira Cloud projects, workflows, permissions, and automation rules Manage users, groups, access control, and SSO integrations Coordinate app and plugin migration and replacement with Cloud-compatible alternatives Maintain documentation of migration steps, configurations, and decisions Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator, with hands-on experience across Jira Server and Jira Cloud Proven experience migrating Jira projects from Data Center/Server to Cloud Understanding of workflows, schemes, custom fields, and permissions across Jira Software and Jira Service Management Experience with Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace apps and Cloud compatibility requirements Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously Comfortable working independently and making migration decisions English proficiency at B2 level or higher Nice to have Basic scripting or automation experience, including Automation for Jira or REST APIs

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator, with hands-on experience across Jira Server and Jira Cloud

• Proven experience migrating Jira projects from Data Center/Server to Cloud

• Understanding of workflows, schemes, custom fields, and permissions across Jira Software and Jira Service Management

• Experience with Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant

• Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace apps and Cloud compatibility requirements

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously

• Comfortable working independently and making migration decisions

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
