Your profile and qualifications
Final-year university student in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
Available to work at least 2 days per week throughout the academic year
Good command of written and spoken English
Basic knowledge of MS Office
Basic understanding of electrical and automation systems
Familiarity with PLC, HMI/SCADA or industrial automation is an advantage
Familiarity with AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar engineering tools is an advantage
Basic understanding of electrical diagrams and technical documentation
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Structured, responsible and detail-oriented approach
Your responsibilities and tasks
Supporting automation engineers with project-related engineering activities
Assisting with PLC and HMI/SCADA related engineering tasks
Supporting the preparation and update of automation and electrical documentation
Assisting with the preparation and review of electrical diagrams, I/O lists and control documentation
Supporting engineers in understanding and working with P&IDs and functional descriptions
Assisting with basic PLC and automation programming activities under the guidance of experienced engineers
Learning about industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet and Modbus
Supporting the selection and documentation of instrumentation such as flow, pressure, level and temperature measurement devices
Gaining practical knowledge of motor control equipment such as drives and soft starters
Assisting with automation hardware and panel-related engineering activities
Supporting testing and troubleshooting activities in the engineering environment
Working with engineers from different disciplines to develop integrated automation solutions
Preparing technical documentation and supporting day-to-day engineering activities
