Our Powertrain and Platform division is responsible for the development and product management of innovative products, as well as the sustainable implementation of global product cost optimization. The focus lies in ensuring comprehensive product responsibility—from concept development to series development, through to series support and ongoing optimization—enabled by cross‑brand and cross‑departmental collaboration. We are a dynamic team working in the exciting product environment of battery‑electric drives. Qualification requirements
Enrolled in a master’s program or bachelor’s program (at least 89 credit points) in STEM fields, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related discipline
Good to very good academic performance
Prior knowledge of thermal management and electric drive systems
Interest in or previous experience with methods and tools of Value Engineering
Experience with business intelligence tools is an advantage
Initiative, teamwork skills, and an independent work style
German language level C1 and English language level B2
Possible tasks within this role
Contributing to product cost optimization initiatives and independently carrying out digitalization measures
Developing concepts for innovations in the product portfolio of electric drives and thermal management components
Supporting project managers, e.g., planning, preparing, and conducting milestone reviews
Independently executing smaller projects and working with internal VW programs such as AVON or PKOnline
Supporting competitive analyses and benchmarking activities
