Description

We are seeking a Legal Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the company’s strategic legal direction. You will collaborate with professionals across multiple regions and support business growth through effective legal management. Responsibilities Contribute to the expansion of EPAM’s commercial activities and address legal matters in Polish and Central and Eastern European operations Draft, negotiate, and revise a broad range of client commercial contracts, including IT software services agreements, consulting agreements, statements of work, NDAs, and Data Processing Agreements Prepare, negotiate, and update procurement agreements, such as subcontractor, vendor, alliance, and lease contracts, as well as NDAs and Data Processing Agreements Provide legal support to sales and business teams during RFP processes Collaborate with internal business stakeholders and members of the global Legal team to facilitate deal closure Lead and participate in special projects, including template development, standardization of contract positions, and improvement of contract management practices Educate internal teams to ensure consistent application of legal policies and procedures Assist with GDPR compliance, working with cross-functional teams and offering guidance on privacy and data protection laws, regulations, and industry standards Advise on regulatory matters related to digital, technology, and cybersecurity, and support compliance initiatives such as NIS2 requirements Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts, including external legal counsel Prepare management reports summarizing contract negotiations, disputes, and key information for decision-making Develop and deliver training on legal policies, programs, and contract approaches Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Jurisprudence or a related discipline Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practicing attorney, with background in a top-tier law firm or in-house at a recognized IT services provider In-depth knowledge of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish Law Proven ability to negotiate software development services agreements Broad commercial legal experience and sound judgment Strong drafting and writing skills for legal documents Experience managing multiple priorities and working under pressure Ability to work independently, demonstrating speed and a strong work ethic Experience in commercial IT services transactions Excellent communication skills for both speaking and writing in English and Polish at an advanced level Nice to have Familiarity with legal systems in other European countries Fluency in Russian, which is beneficial for cross-border legal matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Jurisprudence or a related discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practicing attorney, with background in a top-tier law firm or in-house at a recognized IT services provider

  • In-depth knowledge of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish Law

  • Proven ability to negotiate software development services agreements

  • Broad commercial legal experience and sound judgment

  • Strong drafting and writing skills for legal documents

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working under pressure

  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating speed and a strong work ethic

  • Experience in commercial IT services transactions

  • Excellent communication skills for both speaking and writing in English and Polish at an advanced level
