The opportunity We are looking for a M365 Support Consultant with 1–4 years of hands‑on experience acting as an escalation point for complex issues, platform governance, automation, and service improvements. In addition to standard business hours, the consultant will participate in an on-call support rotation. On-call duties may occasionally include evenings, nights, weekends. During these periods, the consultant is expected to remain available to respond to potential system-related incidents or user requests and, when required, take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving issues. Ideally, you’ll also have
M365 Workloads: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams (admin + troubleshooting)
Identity: Entra ID/Azure AD (users, groups, MFA, basic Conditional Access)
Security & Compliance: DLP, retention, audit/eDiscovery, permissions governance
PowerShell: Bulk ops, diagnostics, reports, light automation (ExO, SPO/PnP, Graph)
Operations & ITSM: Incident/Change in ServiceNow (or similar);
Certifications (basic): MS‑900 and/or PL‑900 (or equivalent foundation)
Skills and attributes for success
Troubleshooting capability across M365 environment
Understanding of M365 governance, compliance features, environment structures, and admin-centre tooling.
Experience using PowerShell for automation, bulk operations, and diagnostics.

Your key responsibilities
You will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes.

In line with EY commitment to quality, you’ll provide high quality capabilities and consultant expertise As part of the project requirements, the Consultant will provide support during regular business hours and participate in a pre-scheduled on-call rotation. During on-call periods, the Consultant will be expected to remain available to respond to system incidents and user requests when necessary.
M365:
Manage advanced mailbox configurations, including litigation hold, retention tags, shared/resource mailboxes, and mailbox permissions.
Administer SharePoint Online and OneDrive, including site access management, permission models, sharing policies, and sync‑related escalations.
Configure Microsoft Teams policies, meeting settings, calling configurations, and compliance‑related features.
Use PowerShell for bulk operations, user and group management, automation tasks, and diagnostic scripting.
Perform root‑cause analysis for escalated service or user issues and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with Microsoft Support (Premier/MCS)
Assist in change management activities, documentation updates, and implementation of approved M365 changes.
To qualify for the role, you must have
1–4 years of hands‑on support experience in Microsoft 365 within enterprise environments.
Administration & troubleshooting across Microsoft 365 environment
Working understanding of M365 Security & Compliance (DLP, retention, auditing, eDiscovery, permissions).
Comfort with escalation/root‑cause analysis and driving corrective actions.
Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift-based support environment, including participation in a scheduled on-call rotation
Hands-on approach to collaborating with R&D teams to identify and implement best practices and new MS DYNAMICS 365 solutions that may enforce governance, compliance, and security frameworks
Willingness to report on the progress of R&D projects and document the results of implementations, as well as post-implementation review aligned to enterprise standards.
