Description

Project is related to regulatory reporting for one of Clients from Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. There is an exclusive team developing & supporting approx. 25 systems in Securities area using Progress OpenEdge solution. Current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge DBA / Developer.

  • Progress OpenEdge technical skills (scripting, DB & AppServer configuration, etc.) & in-depth understanding of the architecture

  • Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management.

  • Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress 4GL OpenEdge environment (including version upgrade, preferably PASOE).

  • Experience managing and administering Progress 4GL OpenEdge databases.

  • Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.

  • Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking and performance analysis.

  • Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.

  • Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control.

  • Familiarity with GitLab / another version control and collaboration and automated deployment tools.

  • Understanding of system security and access controls.

  • Progress OpenEdge business development

We are using two different frameworks: A) in-house built, B) Progress Dynamics
