Role Summary
The role of the Remanufactruing Launch Specialist is to develop and implement appropriate practices and procedures to identify, analyze, and determine ordering and stocking criteria for newly introduced Remanufacturing Parts in the US. This role requires strong understanding of inventory planning, procurement, and deployment practices in order to coordinate the successful introduction of new materials and cores. This individual will deal with all new Remanufactured Parts to include but not limited to new model launches.

5-7 years of experience in automotive parts field
Bachelor’s degree
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration

Role Responsibilities
Directly coordinate all launch and logistical activities with the VW Remanufacturing Stakeholder(local & headquarter).
Provide support, resources and problem escalation assistance to all business partner in order to accomplish department and business deliverables.
Be the designated representative in Brand meetings to review launch/ quality issues. Coordinate with the Supplier or the manufacturing facility for the delivery of critical parts. Determine appropriate ordering and stocking actions based on Engineering, Quality, and Service personnel feedback.
Responsible for all aspects of new part launches/ operational supply chain management including: logistics optimization, imported/domestic material management and shipment to final destination.
Communicate and coordinate with Parts Master Data, Parts Pricing, and the Sourcing group to ensure that all identified parts are orderable.
Manage Launch Team priorities relative to network inventory levels, RED Orders, backorders, fill rates and core availability.
Direct team communication with Affiliate Vendors (Mexico and Germany) and Domestic Team Leader to ensure forecasts (order advice) have been received and all orders are shipped to the required network location (incl. cores).
Create and communicate launch reports daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis.
Complete scorecard information daily, report to Parts and Service Leaders and Brand Management.
Lead the Procurement hand-off process following the conclusion of launch monitoring to ensure that parts are successfully turned over to Procurement Specialist in a coordinated fashion identifying critical, risk parts, and related actions.
Determine and establish initial order volume for Remanufactured Parts and cores.
Analyze and review new Remanufactured Parts added to ET-2000. Coordinate with Sourcing Team and Parts Pricing to ensure that all parts are orderable.
Create PDC launch distribution plan according to market.
Support to develop Remanufacturing standards & processes (incl. core management) in agreement with VWAG, Brands and VW of Mexico ensuring implementation and integration within US After Sales.
Perform benchmarking and best practice analysis.
Coordinate Launch Team activities to optimize network performance, minimize cost, and provide uninterrupted material delivery to dealers in support of new part launches for VW.
Synchronize the launch budget with Remanufacturing / MIT Manager quarterly relative to current and future part launches.
Understand how this role impacts the department, organization and Dealers and develop improvement recommendations.
Contribute respective share of improvement opportunities relative to launch reporting and mass data handling
Provide lessons learned summary to Remanufacturing Stakeholder
