Senior Automation Test Engineer (JavaScript, Playwright)

Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer to join the QA team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of applications, working closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality releases. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Cypress Automate new features and enhance existing regression test suites Perform UI testing, API testing, and database testing Execute functional, regression, and basic performance testing Validate backend data using SQL queries Review and analyze business requirements and technical specifications Collaborate with development and product teams to clarify requirements Identify, document, and track defects through resolution Contribute to improving test automation frameworks and best practices Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and release activities Requirements 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Test Automation Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress Proficiency in JavaScript Experience with UI testing, API testing (RESTful services), and database testing Solid background in functional and regression testing, with a basic understanding of performance testing concepts Experience writing and validating data using SQL queries Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher Nice to have CI/CD pipeline integration experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) Experience with version control systems (GitHub) Experience with AWS cloud Knowledge of performance testing

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Test Automation

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress

• Proficiency in JavaScript

• Experience with UI testing, API testing (RESTful services), and database testing

• Solid background in functional and regression testing, with a basic understanding of performance testing concepts

• Experience writing and validating data using SQL queries

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
