Senior Java Software Engineer

Description

We are looking for a passionate Senior Java Software Engineer with a strong focus on delivery to strengthen our engineering team. Please note that working from the client's office in Krakow is required 3 days per week. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java-based applications Drive continuous integration and improvements Drive architecture, standards and guidelines for a globally deployed software solution Support product management in driving the product roadmap Work closely with the rest of the pod to ensure delivery of a robust and sustainable solution meeting business requirements with consideration of user experience Ensure alignment to the organizational guidelines, principles, standards and processes Advise Business Analysts, Testers and Management on all technical matters Requirements 4+ years of experience developing Java applications Skills in SQL databases, ideally Oracle Knowledge of SDLC platforms and processes, including REX (release executor), the RFC process and GSNOW/Atlas Proficiency in a Linux-based server environment, including bash (shell) scripting Understanding of all aspects of the application development (SDLC) and support life cycle Well-developed business communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience working as part of a global team Strong personal prioritization and time management Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills English proficiency at B2 level or higher Nice to have Knowledge of the Spring framework Experience working with MongoDB Familiarity with MS Azure Cloud platforms, Databricks and Denodo Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Git, GitLab Pipelines, Nexus, Ansible and RPM packaging

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing Java applications

• Skills in SQL databases, ideally Oracle

• Knowledge of SDLC platforms and processes, including REX (release executor), the RFC process and GSNOW/Atlas

• Proficiency in a Linux-based server environment, including bash (shell) scripting

• Understanding of all aspects of the application development (SDLC) and support life cycle

• Well-developed business communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience working as part of a global team

• Strong personal prioritization and time management

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
