Senior / Piping Engineer / Designer

Your tasks: Ensure that all work designed or supplied by the piping engineering discipline complies with the relevant sections of mandatory health and safety standards, including any pressure piping regulation or code referred to within the required jurisdiction for the project, with due consideration of relevant client engineering standards Prepare and approve design calculations Prepare a list of engineering deliverables and time-based functions to facilitate the planning and control of the engineering budget Manage and review the piping engineering work packages associated with all deliverables and time-based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met and take corrective action if necessary Prepare, review and approve piping technical deliverables Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures Manage piping system requirements to achieve the project results and monitor effectiveness Facilitate piping discipline engineering meetings Ensure coordination between the piping team and other disciplines of all activities being performed as the design evolves Ensure that quality audits of engineering work are carried out in accordance with project/client's procedures and maintain technical documentation Participate in HAZOP reviews Provide input to proposal and man-hour estimates Train and mentor junior and intermediate engineers and designers and provide guidance on client's standards and quality requirements Ensure resolution of piping issues during the project lifecycle, including planning phase, design, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning Promote and maintain the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of piping engineering work What you bring to the role: Degree in chemical/ energy & environmental engineering or equivalent Several years of piping engineering experience with several years’ project engineering experience or equivalent relevant experience Strong technical skills Strong deliverable focus, ability to plan and delegate work A high degree of understanding of interdisciplinary dependencies related to discipline Good understanding of procurement, contracting and commissioning methodologies Good understanding of systems and workflows as they relate to the piping discipline Thorough understanding of the client's Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) policy and standards Sound knowledge of piping codes and standards applicable to the project Sound technical knowledge of piping engineering, including specifications, calculations P&ID development, line sizing, material selection, isolation requirements, valve selection and requisitioning of piping components Familiarity with the requirements and application of pipe stress analysis Knowledge of advanced piping systems Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills Site experience in a piping technical role Experience in the technical review of vendor drawings and supplier data What we offer: Daily contact with specialists and clients from around the world An interesting career with opportunities for continuous self-development Work according to the latest global standards (newest work and design technologies) Implementation of projects related to the most advanced technologies and engineering processes Global exposure Flat organization structure Private medical care Life insurance Funding for sports activities Team-building events Charity initiatives Modern office in the centre of Katowice If you are interested, send us your CV in English. Responsibilities

• As Senior/ Piping Engineer/ Designer, you will be responsible for regulatory code compliance and quality of piping engineering deliverables. You will resolve piping technical issues and provide guidance to other piping practitioners as well as supervising and coordinating piping engineering tasks.
