Senior SQL Server DBA

Description

We are seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA to join our specialized DBA team working directly with trading-related applications. In this role, you will focus on database operations such as maintenance, performance optimization, data-transfer workflows and maintaining high availability and security. This role requires working in a hybrid mode from any office in Krakow or Wroclaw 3 times a week. Responsibilities Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and strong performance Monitor overall database health and system metrics Perform tuning and optimization of databases Diagnose and resolve database-related issues Refine and enhance SQL procedures and queries Develop and deploy database scripts for automation and maintenance tasks Administer Change Tracking and Replication processes Participate in migration initiatives Recommend improvements to processes to enhance availability and performance Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support Requirements 3+ years of experience in SQL Server 2016, 2019 administration including SSRS and SSIS Expertise in Always On Availability Groups and Transactional Replication Strong knowledge of T-SQL and query-optimization techniques Background in database performance monitoring and troubleshooting Understanding of database partitioning Familiarity with SSRS administration and report development Proficiency in PowerShell scripting including dbatools English proficiency at B2 level or higher Nice to have Familiarity with GitLab, Azure and ServiceNow (SNOW) Skills in Grafana and Prometheus Knowledge of CommVault backup solution

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SQL Server 2016, 2019 administration including SSRS and SSIS

• Expertise in Always On Availability Groups and Transactional Replication

• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and query-optimization techniques

• Background in database performance monitoring and troubleshooting

• Understanding of database partitioning

• Familiarity with SSRS administration and report development

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting including dbatools

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
