Your profile and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.

  • 5–8 years minimum of hands-on experience in Import/Export operations (EOU, DTA & Project Logistics).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in English and Hindi.

  • Excellent command over MS Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

  • Strong team player with good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of handling operations in remote locations.

Your responsibilities and tasks

  • Ensure Import/Export pre-shipments document compliance checks as per Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).

  • Knowledge of Bank Guarantee, Continuity Bond, and E-Bonds Customs Licenses (MEIS, Advance Authorization).

  • Review and validate Import/Export documentation before shipments leave the original location (SIMS, NFMIMS, BIS, etc.).

  • Ensure all EOU, DTA, and Trading compliance requirements are met by Customs rules.

  • Working knowledge of SOFTEX processes including PO verification and timely MPR filing (added advantage).

  • Handle HSN allocation and ensure timely actions as per FTP; independently manage HSN queries with Sales, Procurement, and Project teams.

  • Strong understanding of SVB and Provisional Duty (PD) Bonds.

  • Hands-on experience with EOU import/export compliance operations (added advantage).

  • Ability to handle IDPMS/EDPMS/FEMA-related escalations from Finance.

  • Knowledge of Government incentive schemes such as DBK and RoDTEP.

  • Understanding of IGM corrections, High Sea Sales, and cross-country trade processes.

  • Basic understanding of BIS standards and trade requirements.

  • Sensitivity and sound judgment in handling customs litigations.

  • Capable of handling Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders, and Project Cargo movements (International & Domestic).

  • Manage coordination for large-scale, time-sensitive, and project-based logistics operations.

  • Proactive identification and mitigation of potential delays and operational issues across remote GEA India locations.
