10+ years in technology, with 5+ years in architecture roles
Deep e-commerce domain knowledge across multiple projects/clients (platforms, vendors, patterns, best practices)
Strong understanding of modern e-commerce platforms and technologies (headless, composable commerce, MACH principles)
Knowledge of Microservices, API-first architectures, and event-driven patterns
Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud-native patterns
Skills in Data architecture, integration patterns (sync/async, CDC, ETL)
Background in frontend technologies, mobile commerce, omnichannel strategies
Enterprise Architecture frameworks knowledge (TOGAF, Zachman, or similar)
Hands-on technical background with the ability to review code and infrastructure
Experience across the full e-commerce value chain: catalog, search, merchandising, cart, checkout, payments, OMS, customer service
Knowledge of B2C, B2B, marketplace, and subscription models
Understanding of e-commerce KPIs, conversion optimization, and personalization
Proven experience leading and mentoring architecture teams
Exceptional client-facing skills - comfortable presenting to business and technical teams alike
Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to varied audiences

Define and evolve enterprise capabilities and capability models for e-commerce domains
Create capability-to-technology mapping and provide strategic technology roadmaps
Provide technology consultancy across all areas of the e-commerce domain
Guide make-vs-buy decisions and vendor selection strategies
Design end-to-end e-commerce solution landscapes including system integration, data flows, and component interactions
Create comprehensive architecture documentation (C4 models, component diagrams, data flow diagrams, integration patterns)
Design individual service/component architectures from scratch (e.g., basket, search, checkout, PIM, OMS)
Define non-functional requirements, scalability, and resilience patterns
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and technical standards
Act as trusted technical advisor to clients at all organizational levels (C-suite, IT Directors, domain architects)
Conduct architecture reviews and provide constructive feedback
Drive best practices adoption across projects and teams
Deep dive into services, codebases, and technical implementations when needed
Validate architectural decisions through proof-of-concepts
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges across the stack
Bridge the gap between architecture and implementation teams
Transform architectural vision into actionable, realistic delivery plans
