Senior Linux Engineer

Opis

We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer with strong monitoring skills and the ability to work independently. There will be no one who works alongside this person to train them on the necessary tools, so self-sufficiency is key. The role is to join the project, assess the current infrastructure and observability, identify areas for improvement, and start working on enhancing them. Responsibilities Build end-to-end observability across the infrastructure, including transfer tracking, queue monitoring, and latency metrics Improve alerting by reducing noise and increasing signal quality to ensure meaningful and actionable notifications Instrument legacy systems and USS environments to provide better visibility into their behavior and performance Build dashboards to track incidents and overall system health, providing clear and actionable insights Partner with the AI team to enable data-driven insights and support advanced analytical use cases Requirements At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar engineering role Strong expertise in Linux administration and engineering Solid hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana Proven experience debugging distributed systems and identifying root causes of complex issues Practical background in performance tuning to optimize system reliability and efficiency Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (B2+ level or higher) Nice to have Exposure to Mainframe and USS (Unix System Services) environments Experience with file transfer and batch processing systems Background in AI engineering and supporting AI-driven workflows Familiarity with file transfer solutions for Mainframe and Midrange systems General knowledge of Mainframe technologies and operations

Wymagania

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar engineering role

• Strong expertise in Linux administration and engineering

• Solid hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana

• Proven experience debugging distributed systems and identifying root causes of complex issues

• Practical background in performance tuning to optimize system reliability and efficiency

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (B2+ level or higher)
