Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Governance Consultant / SME to strengthen our Data Governance & Data Management capabilities. Working closely with the Data Governance DPO, this role will evolve the governance model, translate it into practical implementation guidance, and support consistent adoption across the organization.

Skills:

• Strong conceptual and systems thinking, with the ability to structure ambiguity and connect individual requirements into a practical guidance and training material

• Excellent communication, writing, stakeholder influence and facilitation skills

• Proficiency in aligning business, governance and technical perspectives.

• Pragmatic and analytical approach, with the ability to adapt recognized frameworks to organizational needs and create clear, usable deliverables

Senior Data Governance Consultant / SME

• Create Implementation Guidance: Translate governance model and principles into practical playbooks, role guidance, workflows, templates and examples that help organizations and data domains establish and maintain effective governance

• Shape Governance Capabilities: Define and evolve the capabilities of the operating model, such as processes, artefacts, and enabling tools required to govern data domains, data structures, data assets and data products

• Support Domain Implementation: Collaborate with Data Governance Implementation Leads, governance roles and digital delivery teams to apply the model, resolve conceptual questions and improve the approach through practical feedback

• Evolve the Governance Model with changing needs, including governance roles, accountabilities, decision rights, forums, circles and escalation mechanisms at Group, TDBAGF and data-domain levels. Clarify interfaces with important VG governance structures (e.g., Northstar Architecture, Stable Team Framework, UDP)

• Build Adoption and Maturity: Develop onboarding and learning materials, assess implementation maturity, assess implementation gaps and capture lessons learned.
