• Project description:

• The project objective is to develop peptide-based membrane-

• penetrating antimicrobials with chemically stabilized structures that will

• combat drug-resistant bacteria while maintaining favourable safety

Zakres obowiązków

• synthesis of peptides and peptidomimetics with noncanonical amino

• acids and chemical stabilization of peptides

• circular dichroism and fluorescence spectroscopy experiments

• microbiology experiments

• preparing reports, manuscript drafts, presenting results at internal

• meetings and national or international conferences

• MSc degree in chemistry, physics, biology or related discipline. The MSc

• degree should be obtained before the date of employment in the project.

• Confirmed status of a PhD student at the time of starting the

• employment. The stipend can be paid only after the person has acquired

• the PhD student status.

• We are looking for motivated PhD students with the ability to communicate

• in English in speech and writing (at C1 certificate level), team work skills,

• and independent thinking. Interests in organic chemistry, specifically

• peptide chemistry and solid phase peptide synthesis, as well as in

• microbiology will be beneficial.
