Description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next. The Content Promotion and Distribution (CPD) Engineering Organization creates technology to set up, promote, localize, and launch content on the Netflix service and off-service on social channels. We build products and services that manage a global entertainment catalog and enable our members to discover, choose, and talk about the content they can watch or play. CPD organization sits at the intersection of the consumer experience and the Netflix Studio. Our core mission is to make the Netflix experience personal and relevant through innovative approaches to content cataloging, promotion, localization, and distribution. We are currently hiring for the following teams in CPD: Promo Asset Management: This team is responsible for the development of the centralized platform for managing, discovery, and sharing promotional assets (ex: images, videos). This includes search and discovery, asset management, and distribution with solutions enabling teams to “create once, publish everywhere”, all aimed at sparking and amplifying conversations to fuel the thrill of what’s next. Publishing and Fan Engagement Technology Engineering connects the digital and physical worlds, creating interactive, immersive experiences for Netflix fans beyond the streaming service. We power the digital experience for Netflix House and Tudum—our fandom destination for all things Netflix— and develop technology that brings the coolest merchandise to life, from Netflix-themed apparel to limited-edition consumer products. This makes it easier than ever for fans to connect with their favorite Netflix stories in the real world. We also love experimenting with AI to create the most exciting experiences for our fans, both online and in the real world. Our team works closely with Product Management, UX Design, Data Science, Consumer Research, other Software Engineering teams, and various publicity and consumer products business groups to elevate fan engagement to the next level. ## Who You Are - You are a full-stack engineer with experience building backend services and user-facing interfaces. - You have experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern UI frameworks. - You have experience in backend development (for example, one or more of: JVM languages such as Java/Scala/Kotlin, Python, C#, or Ruby), building and consuming APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), and working with databases. - You have experience with GenAI and AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate your workflow, and you apply sound judgment in validating AI outputs and learning new AI capabilities. - You are familiar with testing frameworks and tools and have experience shipping high‑quality, well‑tested code. - You are comfortable iterating through prototypes and experiments to navigate solution ambiguity, and you enjoy working with data to inform decisions. - You are able to learn and use in‑house software frameworks, components, and services to build solutions effectively. - You communicate effectively and work well with a variety of partners and teammates. ## What You Will Do - Design, build, test, deploy, and operate internal and consumer-facing web experiences end-to-end, including backend services, integrations, and modern web UIs. - Partner with Product, Design, and other cross‑functional partners early in the lifecycle to shape direction, clarify scope, and align on trade‑offs. - Help the team move from ideas to execution, bringing clarity to ambiguous problem spaces. - Collaborate with other teams on shared systems, experimentation, and platform integrations. - Write automated tests and architect code for testability to uphold product quality in a high‑commit‑volume codebase. - Contribute to improving frontend and backend engineering standards and best practices. - Participate in the on‑call rotation and incident reviews, with clarity around expectations and support. - Use and help improve AI‑assisted engineering tools and practices to increase team productivity and code quality.
