The team
You’ll be working in the Group CORC GHRCS team with colleagues across UBS locations globally. We support GHRCS by partnering with them to effectively manage regulatory risk in an environment of collaboration and constructive challenge.
Our duties include implementing the Non-Financial Risk Framework and ensuring regulatory and operational risks are identified, properly assessed and recorded. As a risk control specialist, you’ll lead second line of defense activities and partner with the business to manage regulatory and associated risks, playing a vital role in seeing that the necessary risk frameworks are appropriately embedded across our firm.

Your skills and experience
ideally 10+ years’ experience of risk management and control frameworks; relevant hands-on experience or previous experience in HR would be advantageous
analytic, result-oriented and resilient (you don’t shy away from challenging situations)
skilled communicator who listens, adapts style to audience and conveys clear, accurate and concise information and expectations. Proficient in communicating complex issues
a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or a related field is preferable
fluent in English
You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
Key responsibilities
Do you have a strong risk and analytical mind, and experience in operational risk management for Human Resources (HR)? Can you provide independent oversight, review and challenge at all levels, and are you confident when it comes to speaking up for what is right?
We’re looking for a Non-Financial Risk Specialist to:
act as a compliance and operational risk control (CORC) for the HR function, supporting them and the bank more broadly in the effective management of human resources and employment risk
build relationships with HR and other functional stakeholders to proactively identify and remediate issues
provide independent review and challenge to the 1st line of defense in relation to the execution of the Non-Financial Risk Framework components
conduct thematic reviews and look across to identify areas of potential risk to the firm and / or shortcomings within the HR processes
maintain a strong knowledge of relevant policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practice to provide effective challenge to the 1st line of defense in relation to HR risks
ensure risk metrics, assessments and reporting are built on correct data and in line with relevant taxonomies and the expectation of UBS Group
provide business management with controls, tools, training, frameworks, information and insights required to manage risk
