Description
Project is related to regulatory reporting for one of Clients from Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. There is an exclusive team developing & supporting approx. 25 systems in Securities area using Progress OpenEdge solution. Current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge DBA / Developer.
Progress OpenEdge technical skills (scripting, DB & AppServer configuration, etc.) & in-depth understanding of the architecture
Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management.
Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress 4GL OpenEdge environment (including version upgrade, preferably PASOE).
Experience managing and administering Progress 4GL OpenEdge databases.
Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking and performance analysis.
Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control.
Familiarity with GitLab / another version control and collaboration and automated deployment tools.
Understanding of system security and access controls.

We are looking for experienced developer experienced in Progress OpenEdge with solid DBA / infrastructure skillset. Planned work would be related to two areas: I) back-end and front-end of in-house build application, II) infrastructure related changes (upgrade) and DBA. We are using two different frameworks: A) in-house built, B) Progress Dynamics
