Senior Java Engineer

Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our AI platform team within the Investment Bank, serving internal clients. Our team consists of data scientists, software engineers and business analysts who process vast amounts of data for multiple use cases using both classic machine learning models and modern generative AI. We are rapidly growing in the areas of chatbots and agents and remain technologically savvy and cloud native. Please note that working from the customer's office is required 3 days per week. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java applications that meet business requirements and technical specifications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design develop and implement software solutions Utilize Azure services and technologies to build scalable and efficient applications Troubleshoot debug and optimize code to ensure high performance and reliability Stay updated with the latest industry trends technologies and best practices in Java development and cloud computing Requirements 5+ years of experience in Java Knowledge of Java 18+ and Spring Boot Skills in RESTful API development and OpenAPI/Swagger Proficiency in PostgreSQL Oracle and Hibernate Familiarity with JPA Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines Expertise in Azure cloud platform Understanding of Prometheus and Splunk for monitoring and logging Competency in JUnit TestNG and Mockito Familiarity with JBehave Kafka and REST for messaging and integration Knowledge of OAuth2 JWT and Spring Security English proficiency at B2 level or higher Nice to have Background in the financial services industry Certification in Azure or related cloud technologies Familiarity with other programming languages and frameworks Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java

• Knowledge of Java 18+ and Spring Boot

• Skills in RESTful API development and OpenAPI/Swagger

• Proficiency in PostgreSQL Oracle and Hibernate

• Familiarity with JPA Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines

• Expertise in Azure cloud platform

• Understanding of Prometheus and Splunk for monitoring and logging

• Competency in JUnit TestNG and Mockito

• Familiarity with JBehave Kafka and REST for messaging and integration

• Knowledge of OAuth2 JWT and Spring Security

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
