Your profile and qualifications
Mechanical training and experience (including knowledge of TIG welding and thin-wall piping systems in the food industry)
VCA-VOL (Safety Certificate for Operational Supervisors)
Experience with leading teams on site
Willing to work on different customer locations within the Netherlands and possibly Belgium
Your responsibilities and tasks
Preparing and supervising mechanical work (TIG welding / piping)
Involved in preparing cost estimates and quotations
Planning maintenance and mechanical work on machinery and installations
Organizing and monitoring work permits
Providing instructions to all mechanical technicians (focus) and to other subcontractors like electricians or insulators
Supervising work activities and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance
Managing the return of materials and tools (during and after work activities)
Reporting work progress and completed activities to the project manager/responsible person
Maintaining clean and safe workplaces
Reporting on completed work activities
Ensuring compliance with the customer's safety regulations and site rules
Acting as the contact person between GEA and the customer
Overall work planning and coordination
Cost control: keep working hours under control and within budgeted number of hours
Ensuring the workplace is left clean and orderly upon completion of the work
Completing incident reporting forms correctly in the event of any emergencies or incidents (calamities)
Performing safety inspections and toolboxes with work staff
