Senior / Lead Production Optimization Specialist (Oil & Gas)

Description

Location: Gdańsk Key responsibilieties: - Supervising technological parameters in refinery operations optimization processes, - Performing optimization calculations within the Aspen PIMS environment for supply chain purposes, - Critically analyzing production plans regarding their technical feasibility (including fraction yields, unit capacities, and turnaround schedules), - Monitoring feedstock and intermediate product allocation processes, as well as optimizing finished product blending recipes, - Preparing economic evaluations for non-standard market operations, such as spot purchases or additional inter-plant transfers, - Regularly verifying and updating LP model structures to ensure alignment with the actual technological state of the refinery. Requirements: - University degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or a related field, - Proven minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the oil or refining industry, - Fluency in Aspen PIMS software or another linear programming (LP) system, - Experience in refinery process optimization, - Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and excellent analytical skills, - English language proficiency. Nice to have: - Knowledge of additional data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI), - Advanced academic degrees in a related field.
