Description
We are looking for a Legal Manager to join our team. This role gives you the opportunity to shape the company’s legal framework and contribute to its continued success. You will work alongside professionals from different regions and apply your legal knowledge to advance business goals. Responsibilities Manage legal matters related to EPAM’s commercial activities in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe Draft, assess, and negotiate a variety of client agreements, including IT software service contracts, consulting agreements, statements of work, NDAs, and data processing agreements Develop, negotiate, and oversee procurement contracts for subcontractors, vendors, alliances, leases, NDAs, and data processing Provide legal support to sales and business teams during RFP processes Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the global Legal team to facilitate deal completion Lead and participate in projects aimed at creating contract templates, aligning legal standards, and improving contract management practices Educate internal teams to ensure legal policies and procedures are followed consistently Assist with GDPR compliance by working with cross-functional teams and offering guidance on privacy and data protection Advise on digital, technology, and cybersecurity regulations, and help with compliance initiatives such as NIS2 Work with internal and external legal specialists, including external counsel Prepare management reports that highlight contract negotiations, disputes, and other key legal developments Coordinate and deliver training on legal policies, programs, and contract procedures Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a related field At least 5 years of legal practice, including experience at a top law firm or as in-house counsel for a major IT services provider Strong knowledge of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish legal requirements Proven experience negotiating software development agreements Extensive commercial legal expertise and sound judgment Excellent drafting and written communication skills Advanced command of English and Polish, both written and spoken Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure Self-driven and able to work independently with a high level of initiative Nice to have Understanding of legal systems in other European countries Russian language proficiency, useful for international legal work
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a related field
At least 5 years of legal practice, including experience at a top law firm or as in-house counsel for a major IT services provider
Strong knowledge of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish legal requirements
Proven experience negotiating software development agreements
Extensive commercial legal expertise and sound judgment
Excellent drafting and written communication skills
Advanced command of English and Polish, both written and spoken
Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure
Self-driven and able to work independently with a high level of initiative
