Description
We are looking for a Legal Manager to join our organization. This position provides the chance to engage in a vibrant workplace and help shape the company’s legal strategies. You will work closely with colleagues from various regions and play a key role in supporting business development through legal expertise. Responsibilities Support the growth of EPAM’s commercial operations and handle legal issues in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of client contracts, including agreements for IT software services, consulting, statements of work, NDAs, and data processing Create, negotiate, and maintain procurement contracts such as those for subcontractors, vendors, alliances, leases, NDAs, and data processing Offer legal guidance to sales and business teams during RFP activities Work with internal business partners and the global Legal team to help finalize deals Lead and contribute to special initiatives like developing contract templates, standardizing legal positions, and enhancing contract management Train internal teams to promote consistent use of legal policies and procedures Support GDPR compliance efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing advice on privacy and data protection requirements Advise on regulatory issues related to digital, technology, and cybersecurity, and assist with compliance projects including NIS2 Work with internal and external experts, including outside legal advisors Prepare reports for management that outline contract negotiations, disputes, and relevant information for decision-making Organize and conduct training sessions on legal policies, programs, and contract methods Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a related area At least 5 years of experience practicing law, with a background in a leading law firm or in-house at a major IT services company Comprehensive understanding of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish Law Demonstrated skill in negotiating software development agreements Extensive commercial legal experience and strong judgment Excellent drafting and written communication abilities Advanced proficiency in English and Polish for both written and spoken communication Experience handling multiple tasks and working under tight deadlines Ability to work independently with efficiency and dedication Background in commercial IT services transactions Nice to have Experience with legal systems in other European countries Russian language skills, useful for international legal matters
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a related area
At least 5 years of experience practicing law, with a background in a leading law firm or in-house at a major IT services company
Comprehensive understanding of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish Law
Demonstrated skill in negotiating software development agreements
Extensive commercial legal experience and strong judgment
Excellent drafting and written communication abilities
Advanced proficiency in English and Polish for both written and spoken communication
Experience handling multiple tasks and working under tight deadlines
Ability to work independently with efficiency and dedication
Background in commercial IT services transactions
Responsibilities
