We are inviting a Legal Manager to join our team. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the company’s legal direction and support its ongoing growth. You will collaborate with colleagues from various countries and use your legal expertise to help achieve business objectives. Responsibilities Oversee legal aspects of EPAM’s commercial operations in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe Prepare, review, and negotiate diverse client contracts, including those for IT software services, consulting, statements of work, NDAs, and data processing Create, negotiate, and manage procurement agreements for subcontractors, vendors, alliances, leases, NDAs, and data processing Advise sales and business teams on legal matters during RFP activities Work closely with internal partners and the global Legal team to ensure successful deal execution Lead and contribute to initiatives such as developing contract templates, harmonizing legal standards, and optimizing contract management processes Train internal staff to promote consistent application of legal policies and procedures Support GDPR compliance by collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing expertise on privacy and data protection Offer guidance on digital, technology, and cybersecurity laws, and assist with compliance projects like NIS2 Engage with internal and external legal experts, including outside counsel Prepare reports for management summarizing contract negotiations, disputes, and other important legal matters Organize and facilitate training sessions on legal policies, programs, and contract procedures Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a related discipline At least 5 years of experience practicing law, including time at a leading law firm or as in-house counsel for a major IT services company Comprehensive understanding of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish legal standards Demonstrated ability to negotiate software development agreements Extensive background in commercial law and strong decision-making abilities Exceptional drafting and written communication skills Advanced proficiency in both English and Polish, written and spoken Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative Experience handling legal issues related to commercial IT services Nice to have Knowledge of legal systems in other European countries Russian language skills, valuable for international legal collaboration
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a related discipline
At least 5 years of experience practicing law, including time at a leading law firm or as in-house counsel for a major IT services company
Comprehensive understanding of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish legal standards
Demonstrated ability to negotiate software development agreements
Extensive background in commercial law and strong decision-making abilities
Exceptional drafting and written communication skills
Advanced proficiency in both English and Polish, written and spoken
Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure
Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative
Experience handling legal issues related to commercial IT services
Responsibilities
