As a Global Logistics Industrial Engineer, you will work at the intersection of global logistics, trade compliance, data, AI-enabled analytics, and continuous improvement. You will help improve how 3M manages customs broker performance, filing accuracy, operational visibility, and productivity across the global network.
Job specifics:
Work location: Wroclaw, Powstańców Ślaskich,, Poland
This role has hybrid working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office.
Travel - May include up to 10% domestic/international

Your Skills and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Engineering, Business, International Trade, Operations, or a related field, completed and verified prior to start.
Minimum 5 years of combined experience in logistics, trade compliance operations, customs brokerage, supply chain, industrial engineering, data analytics, process improvement, business operations, or related fields.
Hands-on proficiency with data analysis, automation, modeling, and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, or related technologies.
Experience applying AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-driven productivity solutions, within logistics or supply chain environments is preferred.
Experience working with operational data, performance reporting, dashboards, process improvement, or productivity initiatives.
Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Science, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, APICS, CSCP, CLTD, analytics, customs brokerage, or supply chain certification.
Experience in customs brokerage operations, import/export processes, broker management, customs filing performance, or trade compliance operations.
Strong knowledge of broker performance management, including contract governance, supplier scorecards, productivity tracking, service-level monitoring, and continuous improvement routines.
Experience designing or supporting control tower capabilities, including performance visibility, exception management, broker connectivity, and operational data integration.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex processes, identify root causes, develop practical solutions, and implement improvements across multiple stakeholders.
Experience applying operations research, statistical analysis, workflow optimization, or predictive analytics to improve operational performance.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical data, process insights, and operational risks into clear executive-level recommendations.
Experience leading regional or global projects, including stakeholder alignment, governance, change management, benefits tracking, and executive communication.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to support implementation of process or performance improvements.

Leading analytics and continuous improvement initiatives focused on broker management, customs filing performance, productivity improvement, and operational risk visibility.
Supporting the design, validation, and implementation of standardized customs filing and broker management processes to improve consistency, accuracy, productivity, and governance.
Developing broker performance management frameworks, including scorecards, KPIs, dashboards, service-level monitoring, exception management routines, and business review processes.
Supporting broker contract standardization and optimization by improving spend transparency, defining service-level expectations, tracking productivity metrics, and strengthening performance governance.
Partnering with IT, data teams, trade compliance, logistics, transportation operations, and external brokers to integrate broker, customs, transportation, and operational data into control tower and enterprise visibility platforms.
Building automated reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Python, or related technologies.
Analyzing customs filing workflows, broker performance, cycle times, cost drivers, service issues, and exception trends to identify root causes and recommend practical improvements.
Applying industrial engineering, operations research, statistical analysis, process modeling, automation, AI, and continuous improvement methods to identify productivity and standardization opportunities.
Translating complex operational, logistics, and compliance-related data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Tracking value realization, communicating progress to leadership, and supporting implementation plans to ensure productivity, cost, service, governance, and compliance targets are achieved.
