The team

• UBS Evidence Lab is a global leader in alternative data and primary research for financial markets. Our multidisciplinary team includes data and software engineers, quantitative researchers, social media specialists, and commercial experts - all focused on turning complex data into high conviction investment evidence.

• You’ll work closely with multiple teams across Evidence Lab collaborating with researchers, data engineers, and analysts globally. Your role will focus on systematically analyzing and transforming data related to companies and markets to support Evidence Lab research. The objective is to turn complex datasets into reliable inputs and actionable insights that enable better business and investment decisions.

• The role is based in Krakow, with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).

• Our paid internship will last for 6-months based on 40-hour week.

Your skills and experience

• command of SQL with practical understanding of SQL databases

• understanding of data structures and basic data manipulation techniques

• intellectual curiosity, very strong analytical skills, problem solving and critical reasoning

• strong English language skills essential

• basic command of Python would be an asset

• interest or background in financial markets and company‑level analysis

Key responsibilities

• Are you an analytic thinker? Do you have experience with big data and know how to develop innovative solutions? We’re looking for Junior Data Analyst with practical knowledge of SQL to:

• build and maintain data pipelines including debugging and optimization

• participate in process automation to support straight-through processing

• implement quality assurance and data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• work closely with a global team of researchers, engineers, and business analysts on building innovative data solutions
