Lead Business Analyst

Description

We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to act as the strategic liaison between business stakeholders (Legal, Procurement, Sales, Finance) and technical implementation teams, analyzing, optimizing, and documenting Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) processes. The ideal candidate will translate complex business requirements and contracting rules into detailed functional specifications for configuration in the Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) platform. Responsibilities Lead workshops and interviews with business users to elicit, analyze, and document business needs, contract types, approval structures, and compliance rules Map current "as-is" contracting processes and design optimal "to-be" workflows within Icertis Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for automation and process streamlining Write clear, detailed functional requirements documents (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria that the Icertis Configurator and Developers can directly execute Design comprehensive test scenarios and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts Coordinate with business users to run testing, manage defect prioritization, and sign off on platform readiness Partner with the business to manage the organizational impact of the new CLM platform Draft user manuals, training materials, and deliver end-user training to drive high system adoption Serve as the first line of functional support post-implementation to triage user issues and identify root causes Propose continuous improvement requests for the Icertis platform Requirements 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, with at least 2+ years dedicated specifically to Icertis ICI or similar enterprise CLM implementations Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Information Technology, or a related field Expertise in business analysis methodologies, process engineering (BPMN, flowcharts), and requirement management life cycles Understanding of commercial contracts, legal terms, procurement cycles, and sales-to-contract operations Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of the Icertis platform, including what can be configured out-of-the-box versus what requires custom integration Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to easily communicate technical concepts to non-technical legal/business leaders Proficiency in using tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps to manage backlogs, user stories, and trace requirements English proficiency at B2 level or higher Nice to have CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) PMI-PBA Icertis functional credentials (e.g., Icertis Functional Consultant or Practitioner)

Requirements

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, with at least 2+ years dedicated specifically to Icertis ICI or similar enterprise CLM implementations

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Information Technology, or a related field

• Expertise in business analysis methodologies, process engineering (BPMN, flowcharts), and requirement management life cycles

• Understanding of commercial contracts, legal terms, procurement cycles, and sales-to-contract operations

• Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of the Icertis platform, including what can be configured out-of-the-box versus what requires custom integration
