Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join an AI platform team within the Investment Banking domain, serving internal clients. Our team is composed of data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts working together to process vast amounts of data for diverse use cases, leveraging both classic machine learning models and modern generative AI. With rapid growth in chatbots and agents, we are a technologically savvy, cloud-native team. Please note that this role requires 3 days in the office in "flex-hybrid" mode. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java applications that meet business requirements and technical specifications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions Utilize Azure services and technologies to build scalable and efficient applications Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure high performance and reliability Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Java development and cloud computing Requirements 8+ years of experience in Java Proficiency in Java 18+ and Spring Boot Expertise in API development, including RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger Background in databases and ORM technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Hibernate/JPA Skills in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD Knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically Azure Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus and Splunk Competency in testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito/JBehave Understanding of messaging and integration using Kafka and REST Qualifications in security and authentication with OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security Capability to work with microservice architecture style English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher Nice to have Experience working in the financial services industry Certification in Azure or related cloud technologies Familiarity with other programming languages and frameworks Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices Flexibility to use Kubernetes

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Java

• Proficiency in Java 18+ and Spring Boot

• Expertise in API development, including RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger

• Background in databases and ORM technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Hibernate/JPA

• Skills in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically Azure
