Senior Software Test Automation Engineer, Java

Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer (Java) to join our team and take ownership of testing one or more applications with a strong focus on automation, while also contributing to manual testing when needed. In this role, you will build test cases from user stories and requirements, execute tests and communicate results to ensure successful product releases, working closely with cross-functional teams to expand our automation capabilities. Working hours: 1 pm - 9 pm Polish time Responsibilities Perform hands-on testing, programming and debugging Develop a deep understanding of the business objectives and requirements of the client's products Test one or more projects and determine the appropriate automation approach Communicate with project teams to understand build features, requirements and releases Develop tests that meet functional and performance requirements and satisfy user acceptance criteria Work with the Scrum team to drive Test Driven Development where modules being worked on are tested right away for immediate feedback Follow existing testing tools and practices and provide recommendations for improvement Perform peer reviews of tests or scripts built by other team members Confirm user stories and requirements are met Ensure defects are quickly and clearly communicated Track progress and provide daily and/or weekly status reports Anticipate and raise potential issues that impact quality or delivery Assist with troubleshooting production issues to determine if a potential defect exists Keep current with new technologies and testing tools Collaborate with product to understand user stories, engineering to understand architecture and design, and operations on environments and deployments Guide and direct onshore and offshore consultants on the team when needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline 5+ years of experience with software QA and automated testing using Java, Selenium, RestAssured and AWS SDK Experience with automated testing of front-end, microservices, and/or serverless applications Experience testing REST APIs Familiarity with issue and test management tools such as Jira, QMetry or TestRail Experience working with version control systems Experience integrating tests into a CI/CD pipeline Understanding of testing in cloud environments, particularly AWS Excellent communication and collaboration skills English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline

• 5+ years of experience with software QA and automated testing using Java, Selenium, RestAssured and AWS SDK

• Experience with automated testing of front-end, microservices, and/or serverless applications

• Experience testing REST APIs

• Familiarity with issue and test management tools such as Jira, QMetry or TestRail

• Experience working with version control systems

• Experience integrating tests into a CI/CD pipeline

• Understanding of testing in cloud environments, particularly AWS

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
