By joining us now, you’ll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics—working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.This Position reports to:Global Payroll Lead About the RoleAs ABB Robotics embarks on its journey as a standalone global leader in automation, we are looking for experienced Project Managers to lead end-to-end payroll system implementation projects across multiple countries as well as local country discovery efforts for Payroll, Employee Life Cycle as well as Time and Attendance. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering payroll transformation initiatives while ensuring compliance, stakeholder alignment, and successful transition to operations. The role requires strong project management expertise, payroll process knowledge, vendor coordination experience, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. This role will functionally report to Global Payroll Transformation Lead who will act as an overarching Program Manager. Preferred candidates are from Europe, primarily Poland or Spain.Key ResponsibilitiesLead payroll implementation projects from initiation through go-live and stabilizationLead local country discovery to support team in understanding current AS IS environment and defining TO BE processesDefine project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverablesDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, and status reportsCoordinate with HR, Finance, IT, Payroll vendors, and business stakeholdersManage implementation of payroll systems, coordinate with integrations and data migration leadsEnsure payroll processes comply with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policiesFacilitate workshops to gather business requirements and document functional specificationsOversee testing activities including SIT, UAT, parallel payroll runs, and defect resolutionMonitor project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful deliveryIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.Manage communication with executive stakeholders and provide regular project updatesSupport change management, training, and transition to business-as-usual operationsEnsure post-implementation support and successful project closureCandidate Profile/ CompetenciesWe are looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in "Day 1" environments and understands the nuances of a shared services landscape.Bachelor’s degree5+ years of project management experience in payroll or HR transformation projectsProven experience managing payroll implementations for managed services environmentsExperience with Workday as a must-haveExperience in building Workday to Payroll integrations as a must-haveExperience with implementation of Strada as a nice-to haveExperience with divestments as a nice-to-haveStrong understanding of payroll operations, complianceExperience working with cross-functional and global teamsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsHigh level of accountability with a proactive, partnership-oriented mindsetStrong attention to detail and execution disciplineFluent in EnglishFlexible working hours to support global time zonesWillingness to travel for workshops and key project milestonesWe value people from different backgrounds. About the Role
Lead payroll implementation projects from initiation through go-live and stabilization
Lead local country discovery to support team in understanding current AS IS environment and defining TO BE processes
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, and status reports
Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT, Payroll vendors, and business stakeholders
Manage implementation of payroll systems, coordinate with integrations and data migration leads
Ensure payroll processes comply with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
Facilitate workshops to gather business requirements and document functional specifications
Oversee testing activities including SIT, UAT, parallel payroll runs, and defect resolution
Monitor project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Manage communication with executive stakeholders and provide regular project updates
Support change management, training, and transition to business-as-usual operations
Ensure post-implementation support and successful project closure
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of project management experience in payroll or HR transformation projects
Proven experience managing payroll implementations for managed services environments
Experience with Workday as a must-have
Experience in building Workday to Payroll integrations as a must-have
Experience with implementation of Strada as a nice-to have
Experience with divestments as a nice-to-have
Strong understanding of payroll operations, compliance
Experience working with cross-functional and global teams
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
High level of accountability with a proactive, partnership-oriented mindset
Strong attention to detail and execution discipline
Fluent in English
Flexible working hours to support global time zones
Willingness to travel for workshops and key project milestones
